Moab City Planning Commission Meeting Report 2021-05-27
The Planning Commission meeting agenda included two items, a new site plan approval and a public hearing regarding outdoor dining in city owned roads. The meeting lasted about 13 minutes. 1. The Planning Commission discussed a site plan revision: Consideration and Possible Approval of Planning Resolution #04-2021, A Planning Resolution Approving the Site Plan Application for the Radcliffe Phase II Site Plan, property located at 471 S Main Street, Moab UT 84532. The owner of the Radcliffe Hotel acquired the adjacent property south of the hotel after making an agreement with Moab Chevrolet and Ford. The auto dealership will continue. A small portion of the property on the east side will be joined to the hotel site plan that will allow a larger area for the swimming pool and include a hotel laundry facility plus some outdoor dining facilities. The Planning Commission unanimously approved the site plan revision with four members present.
2. The Planning Commission opened a public hearing on the new outdoor dining and parklet dining ordinance. The Planning Commission voted to keep the public hearing open until the next meeting on June 10, 2021. The motion allows continued public comments until the next meeting. There were no comments received on the proposed ordinance and public attendance was scant and only three members of the commission would have been present to discuss the ordinance. One member needed to leave the meeting.
